A Golden 1 New Generation Checking Account*
This account is designed for teens age 13 to 17 who want to learn how to manage a checking account responsibly. When the teen turns age 18, the account will convert to a Golden 1 Free Checking Account.

Golden 1 Freedom Checking Account
Teens ages 16 and 17 who maintain a B average or higher in school are eligible to open a Golden 1 Freedom Checking Account. This account allows teens to access their money with a Golden 1 ATM/Check Card that has a total daily withdrawal limit of $250 including a daily cash withdrawal limit of $100.

The Student Pack* provides an easy-to-use package of financial products designed exclusively for full-time college students with proof of enrollment at any University of California, California State University or accredited college located in a county that is in our field of membership. Text us and we’ll text you back. Register your device within Golden 1 Online, and you’re ready to get texts about your account. After you enroll, text BAL or HIST to 465336 (GOLDEN) to check your account balance or see if a check cleared.
